Yes, the Crazy Water Crystal Radio Program is a 15 minute commercial for Patent Medicine type of elixir, made in the home from the snowy residue from the Crazy Well in Mineral Wells Texas. But in exchange for listening to their commercial, we are treated to a variety of early Country Western and Bluegrass Music. The program was broadcast from the lobby of the Crazy Water Hotel, about 1935-1940, both regionally and on the NBC networks. Crazy Water Crystals hired mostly country & hillbilly groups to play on the radio. A booming tourist industry grew in the town of Mineral Wells, Texas, Mineral Wells Radio in the early part of the 20th century, based on the alleged health benefits of the local waters.
